That's right, grilled melons.  Some were good.  Some were bad.  Definitely interesting...

Coming soon, grilled peaches!!

Grilled peaches are definitely good!  I've always done them in a foil packet though, it might help.

I did them right on the grill.  Very easy and tasted just like peach pie once I perfected it.  I tried about a dozen different combos of ingredients.  I need to get some vanilla ice cream, do them again and take a few shots with them as toppings before I will post the method...  Gotta keep you wanting more, right!?!?!

Make sure the melon is uber ripe and the fire is really hot....  The stuff I did was sort of meh.  The watermelon wasn't ripe enough and the fire was dying...

I second that.  I like them with grilled bacon.  My friend made a grilled peach and bacon pie.  It was yummy!

Pineapple is probably my fave grilled fruit but peaches are coming close.  Got some work to do still on that post but if you get a chance to try it you might agree that peaches can give pineapple a run for its money...

I'm not big on grilled melon but I do like pineapple and peaches. I do think adding a little acid of some kind on top of the fruit, like lemon, lime or balsamic vinegar, makes them taste better. I love gilling season because I can just cook up some side dishes and let the DH grill the meat. We eat a lot of potato salad, pasta salad and plain old green salad, this time of year. Grilled veggies have to have a lot of olive oil on them for me to like them. I don't like a dry grilled veggie, so they are not diet friendly for me. LOL  I do love grilled corn and eggplant a lot..Grilled sweet potaotes are heavenly, but there again, oil them up well for me.

You don't have to get it right the first time, just the last time.

I've never done peaches on the BBQ but I have done them in the oven.  (this sounds gross but trust me it is delicious)
Cut the peach in half and take the pit out, then pack the inside of it with sour cream and put the 2 halves together.  you could wrap it in tin foil and do it on the BBQ.  I don't know why but sour cream tastes pretty darn good with peaches Smiley  give it a try and let me know what you think.
