I am sure that I should post the two of these in separate posts, but I am fascinated by both and want to share them both together.  Each shares a religious purpose for different groups, and I think sharing them together shows unity amongst people.

First we have another go at the tree of life, I tried to make this one extra gnarly, I think I did a pretty good job in that department.  (here was the first go http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=307739.0) The 2nd attempt is on page 3 of the same post. (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=307739.msg3528799#msg3528799)  I wanted to be gnarly and pretty at the same time, did it work?  Also an image of the back side as someone asked before how they look from behind.

and two Rosaries.  Upon studying a bit in the area of Catholicism I learned much about the significance and symbolism of this device.  They are both traditional 5 decade Rosaries.  If you'd like to learn to make Rosaries I have a tutorial on my blog along with links to all the pieces I used which you can find here http://gettothe.com/?p=108

That pink tree of life is gorgeous, I love it. Also the rosaries - if you don't mind me asking, where did you find the crucifixes and medals? I've been wanting to make rosaries for a while now, but medals are hard to find.

again, i ADORE the tree, every single one you make seems better than the last, which is odd because the first was so perfect!

fire mountain gems sells them, i've only bought the sterling ones but they are a great company, use them all the time, here's a link to just the rosary items, they also have tons of crosses and everything you need to make one http://www.firemountaingems.com/search.asp?SKW=rosary&ItemPerPage=50
