here we go, therapeutic neck wraps. i made these for preschool teacher gifts (the four pink ones), since over the course of the year, my girl had four teachers (she had three at the start of the year, then one had a baby so she got a new one!) i came across a tutorial for a spa set, changed it up a little bit, and filled them with a combination of rice and flaxseed for good cold and heat therapy uses.

you can obviously make these in other shapes and sizes as well, i made a smaller one in fancy dora the explorer fabric to keep in a freezer bag in the freezer for when my monster girl runs into/falls off of/trips over something! and while the teacher gift ones were divided up into the 4 squares, the one i made for the tute had the longer middle section (i plan to use mine for migraines), but it's just a matter of preference!

the tutorial's on my crafty group's blog Cheesy

Thank you for your tutorial. I work outside, and it gets really hot in the summer. I think I'm going to make a bunch of these for my co-workers. I just have one question though. Does the rice or flaxseed get really mushy and icky inside once the frozen wraps have thawed?

ive used similar things and they did not get mushy when thawed because there is no moisture in them. they are dry rice

They look very nice  Smiley I've also read up somewhere that you can use a rice/tea combo too, the tea is supposed to give it a nice aroma?

I can't live without my "miracle bags".  I love how you made these with compartments.   I'll have to try your tute.
