Ok, so I dove in and made a poppet.  *tries to catch breath*  It took a while, probably because I wasn't sure of the process and all that.  I'm not happy with her clothes, I lost my patience yesterday (trying to quit smoking and my 4 year old, who's visiting, was being whiny and naggy) and just sort of threw something together so she wasn't naked.  LOL!  Anyway, I made the wig according to the flicr tutorial listed on the poppet main page.  It's stranded yarn latchhooked on to a crocheted cap.  I think next time, I'll do one less round and use a magic ring for the top of the crown, so it lays a little more flat.  I made eyelids according to the tut I found here, and it made me crazy!  Then I realized that felt was reccomended and wanted to smack my head into the wall for having wasted 4 hours!  Lol!  Oh, and the eyes are 12mm clear acrylic that I painted myself to get the right look.  So, here we go!  Let me know what you think/ask stuff/give advice/constructive criticism/etc.  I've already got the fabric for at least 2 more, planning on getting started on the next one today.  Cheesy  (Oh and I apologize for the clutter on my sewing table and the size of the photos, I need to figure out how to adjust the size on my phone Smiley)

Here we go with photos.  I named her "Maleah" it's Hawai'ian for "sea of bitterness", lol!

I admire your patience to hand sew anything this big.  I HATE hand sewing, closing seams is about all I can manage without my head exploding.  Cheesy

I didn't know what to do for her ears, so I grabbed some leftovers from a dress that I made and said, "Ok, lovey, you'll get pink ear insides"  Lucky for me, she's got no mouth, so she couldn't smart back at me Wink
