Ok, so I dove in and made a poppet.  *tries to catch breath*  It took a while, probably because I wasn't sure of the process and all that.  I'm not happy with her clothes, I lost my patience yesterday (trying to quit smoking and my 4 year old, who's visiting, was being whiny and naggy) and just sort of threw something together so she wasn't naked.  LOL!  Anyway, I made the wig according to the flicr tutorial listed on the poppet main page.  It's stranded yarn latchhooked on to a crocheted cap.  I think next time, I'll do one less round and use a magic ring for the top of the crown, so it lays a little more flat.  I made eyelids according to the tut I found here, and it made me crazy!  Then I realized that felt was reccomended and wanted to smack my head into the wall for having wasted 4 hours!  Lol!  Oh, and the eyes are 12mm clear acrylic that I painted myself to get the right look.  So, here we go!  Let me know what you think/ask stuff/give advice/constructive criticism/etc.  I've already got the fabric for at least 2 more, planning on getting started on the next one today.  Cheesy  (Oh and I apologize for the clutter on my sewing table and the size of the photos, I need to figure out how to adjust the size on my phone Smiley)

Here we go with photos.  I named her "Maleah" it's Hawai'ian for "sea of bitterness", lol!

I am taking a break from swaps for a while.  I am not accepting any personal swaps at this time until around Christmas time.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks!    Cheesy
I admire your patience to hand sew anything this big.  I HATE hand sewing, closing seams is about all I can manage without my head exploding.  Cheesy

Aw she came out so sweet. I love her hairdo and I think the best part is her ears. I like the placement and inner lining. Smiley

Thanks guys!  I really appreciate it!!
I didn't know what to do for her ears, so I grabbed some leftovers from a dress that I made and said, "Ok, lovey, you'll get pink ear insides"  Lucky for me, she's got no mouth, so she couldn't smart back at me Wink

I don't know HandsyMalone, poppets are notorious for letting you know what they want to look like. She must have loved your ear choice.  Wink

Lol, either that or she saw the look in my eyes and decided not to argue with me!  LOL!  I was in a rough mood while trying to get her finished.
