OK, so I am really broke, but have 3 44 cent stamps and would like to do a budget friendly swap where whatever you can fit in that envelope, and it must not be over 1/4 inch thick as I found out when sending a underskirt for a doll.

There are a lot of small fabrics in my stash that would go, a skien of embroidery floss, other small supplies that may be needed. Yes, I'm cheap today.

My place is usually tidier than this.

haha, I LOVE this idea!  I'm full on swaps right now but I would totally do this for the instant gratification and the novelty and the cheapness!

What other things would we swap? Just supplies?

Small crafts like inchies (1" (2.5cm) pictures), bookmarks, mini crochet/knit/tat/woven/etc  'things' would fit in a 44cent envelope too.

anything under 1/4 inch thick and under the weight limit. LOL, I did a personal swap and made an underskirt for a poppet, but found out the hard way it was too poofy.

I love the ideas of inchies, I've never made them, but love paper stuff.

It wouldn't have to be supplies, I wouldn't think. What ideas do you have?

Others could be a piece or 2 of homemade paper, yes, we would have to fold it.

Bookmarks, yes,  in themes. Still on my first cup of coffee.

Even if I had a job, I like the swap idea. LOL, I am the cheapest person I know. Although I have been reading on the threads about all the magpies in here.

I've passed on several swaps right now cause shipping prices have gotten so out of hand and I'm dieing to swap, so I love this idea.  I think everyone would be amazed what they can send for 44 cents.

I have some fabric scraps and paper scraps that I could send.  ATC's, inchies, I love the book mark idea though, can never have too many of those.

I'm not the cheapest person I know, but I think this is a great idea.  It's surprising how many sheets of paper you can get in an evelope and still be under the weight limit, so I think you'd be able to swap a number of things for 44 cents.

Hmmm..you could send a whole set of paper dolls themed around teh swappers interest. Some well folded origami, a minimobile made with popsicle sticks string and mini paper figures, fridgerator magnets of just paper or fabric on thin magnets, you could create pojects for the receiver to cut out and put together (slot a tab b kinda stuff), a mini colcoring activity book around the receivers fav theme.

How wide an envelope can you send on .44 cents? I checked usps.com and couldnt tell.

largest is a #10, about 9 5/8 long and 3.5 tall, or close to that. I can normally put 3 pages in on one stamp, so the item would have to be light.  #10 envelopes are common in offices and the size of your bills. LOL
