I've been looking at Amigurumi sites, and fell in love. I couldnt read the text, so I grabbed my needles and this is what I made. As you can see, my dog Joseph loves her, so much so he wanted to eat her. YUM!

it looks great!  my boyfriend and i were staring at a book i have for a while trying to figure out what was strange/cute about a mini-dog/chiuawa in it before we caught on to the eyes below the nose thing! yours is very cute with that detail!

now, whether in punishment or reward, through all eternity, she must love and believe in what she did not understand.  -dennison

Oooh, taht's really cute! I want one! Do you reckon you'd be able to share how you did it?
(BTW, whatsites did you find with cool amigurumi? I googled it and found..Ebay. Ebay...And EBAY.)
You really captured the whole..Japanese toy thing, with the eyes below the nose adn the way the nose is embroidered and stuff....You did a really good job, especially if that was just off the top of your head!

EYES BELOW THE NOSE!  That's it!  Wow, I could make all sorts of things now that I understand that!  SO CUTE, why would anybody laugh?

And like a downward smoke, the slender stream
Along the cliff to fall and pause and fall did seem.

Haha, well, I only just realized that was what it was that made Japanese toys and stuff so OBVIOUSLY Japanese. I'm sure there are other things. I think the head is always sposed to be bigger then the body... I'll bet there's a Japense FAN out there somewhere who would be able to tell us more about the real characteristics of stuff liekt his ... They are so cute Cheesy

Egads.. finally getting to reply!  We are getting ready for our very first camping trip with the two kids... I have been going nuts trying to make sure I have everything done - almost forgot my reservations!

Love the amigurumi!  No reason to laugh!  I think he is great!

I was at Wallyworld yesterday (walmart) and I saw a statue or something with a hound that looked a lot like yours.. or was it at the dollar store?  The stores are all melting together!  I thought of you and now I can't remember where I saw it.  I remember saying to myself that I had to tell you about it!  I will find it again!

My dogs(rest their souls) would have eaten your amigurumi... especially if there was a squeaker in it.  They ate a lot of things - even a big horking wicker basket-chest I bought in Morocco... Still have the basket and every time I see it I think of Chloe... she was a wild one!

But - I still love the Amigurumi!

I am collecting quilts, afghans & blankets for those that lost their homes.  Pm me!
