I have wanted to do a challenge for months but it seemed time just got away from me. This time I was determined. I got a Lumber Liquidators catalogue in the mail and knew I had to make a handbag!

The Finished Product
Just a cute little wood grain handbag with a macrame handle. A wink and a nod to this year's April Fool's prank. I made it using ye olde candy wrapper chain method that I think I learned in Girl Scout camp.

The Catalogue

Beautiful Wood Floors Inside the Catalogue

The Strips Ready to be Folded

The Fabric of the Handbag Before Assembly

A Close Up of the "Fabric"

A Close Up of the Macrame Strap

An Action Shot

I hope you like it!

I've never been a big fan of that construction for purses, but the faux wood look just makes it so, so amazing!

LOOKING FOR A PERSONAL SWAP: I'm hoping for dinosaur-themed Xmas crackers, or other dinosaur Xmas items. I can make a Jayne Cobb hat, or many other things!

Thank you so much. I too typically am not a huge fan of this method but in this case it just worked.  Cheesy

So much work! I like how it looks like wood and leather at the same time. Also, macrame rocks! The handle totally makes it!

Thank you both! The wood stops of paper really did make an interesting effect. Now my mind is racing with other thing I can do with this method!
