My Mom was 50 recently and she likes it when I make her jewellery (she buys beads and things for me to make her stuff) so I decided to make her a pair of earrings and a matching necklace Smiley Her favourite beads are swarovski hearts so I DIED when the top of one of them chipped xD but its stayed put and I can replace it easy if I want to so its all fine xD

happy,  happy 5-0 to your mom.  Beautiful work ... I want to learn how to wrap a pendant, like yours.  The beads at the top of the pendant are great!  What type of bead is the pendant?  Thanks.

Thanks, catdaddytn and beefishie Smiley

I learned how to wrap pendants like that from this tutorial http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJ34Isf0mDo. The shape of the gem is different so its a little different but its basically the same idea... and you don't need the pointy tool thing if you have nails or just some way of bending out the wire... Maybe the wire I use is quite soft... What I also find quite useful is when you're trying to get the wire to stay around the gem when you're closing it at the top is to just hammer it with the handle of some pliers and it will bend it into shape a bit about the gem.

I thought I put in what it was made of xD that was only on DA I guess though... The main stone is Amethyst, its about 3-4cm by 3.8cm and the smaller beeds are just purple seed beads...
