I made this hanging pendant lamp from Avon catalogs.  Four of them to be exact.   I used a 3/4" copper pipe fitted with a low wattage lighting kit for the base.   Fold each page twice into the center binding from the top outside corner to form a cone shape.   I got this idea from a craft project that my mother and father did for Christmas in the late 60's or early 70's.   They folded magazine pages formed a cone and they spray painted the entire thing with green paint, some white spray snow flakes and I believe my mom made glitter stars for the tops.  They must have folded in the bottom of the pages to form a flat base so that the trees could sit on the table.
