I made this cake stand a while ago from plates and liquor glasses I found at an antiques shop. It was really fun finding plates that went well together.

I currently use it for all my make up and jewellery... much more friendly on my hips than cakes!

I am currently in the process of moving flat so I thought it would be nice to show a few of the things in my room before they are put in boxes. I will add some more of my homely projects on craftster soon, but in the meantime you can see my blog post for more pictures and projects: http://myownfairhands.blogspot.com/2009/06/home-sweet-home.html

Absolutely beautiful! What kind of adhesive do you use for a project like this?

I've seen people make cake stands like this, but I would have never thought to store my "pretties" on one.  I love this idea!

thats an amazing idea...
which im probably going to steal.
though i'll most likely use plastic plates/cups, because i have a tendancy of breaking things..
Spectacular job on yours though!
