The Earth without Art is just 'Eh'

A while ago I tired of the seriously ugly downstairs bath and needed a fix that was cheap.  Leafing through catalogs looking for ideas I realized I had what I needed right there in my hands (and on the end table, the nightstand, the kitchen table and most any vertical surface in the house).  Catalogs!  Twas the season and the mailbox brought more every day.
Using a 1.5 inch hole punch I vandalized catalogs and magazines for months till I'd accumulated a couple of thousand dots.  I painted the walls and door then armed with a sponge brush, modge-podge and mess of circles I started a wave across the walls and built on it from there.  It's a project that may never be 'done' since I continually add to it.  Cheesy

Oh, I hope this can stay!  I saw this awhile back and when the catalog challenge came up I thought of it!  I loved this idea, and actually want to do it someday!  This and the mosaic tile top patio table ROCK MY SOCKS!

How does this hold up in the bathroom?  I'd be afraid of all the dots peeling off the wall because of moister.  I do love this though.  Great work!  Cheesy

Very cool!  It looks like a lot of those little buttons people put on their backpacks all over the walls.  Nice work  Smiley

This is very creative, I wonder what else could be "spotted."  I am thinking about how great it might be to finish craft boxes. I will have fun with this.

Very cool! Did you protect it with anything clear painted over the top? I may steal this idea from you in some way! Great inspiration! Love it.
