They are all so great!  I especially like the Dr. Mario one!  I have been buying up scrabble tiles from the local thrift store and hopefully this will motivate me to actually make some now.
With the rest of the magazine, you could work on making inchies.

love em! I make a ton of them!

For more tiles- look on www.etsy.com and lookup scrabble tiles or wooden tiles in the supplies section. That is where I buy mine from!

LOVE the final fantasy and Zelda ones!!! How on earth did you make these? I totally can't picture them as scrabble tiles!
I won't go into a long winded explanation (if you google "Scrabble Tile Pendant Tutorial" you'll find lots of great ones). But its basically just cutting out and image (from a magazine or something you printed, or anywhere) gluing it to the scrabble tile (I used Modgepodge) using a glaze on top of the image (I used Diamond glaze) and then once everything's dry, attaching a bail on the back ( I used annraku bails). Really simple and really fun!

Nice job. Good use for your old magazines.

I've been looking through my local thrift stores and haven't been able to find any Scrabble games. I'm about ready to buy a new one just for the tiles. What size bails did you use?
Before you buy a new set see if you can find stores that sell just the replacement tiles. Usually the tiles alone will cost you about $8, instead of $15-20 for a new game. Also I'm not sure what size the bails are exactly (I got them at a local bead store, the label didn't say much) but they are pretty large (its almost the length of the scrabble tile ^^; ) It's the only size my store carries, but I'm thinking of buying some online to get a smaller size.

REALLY like these!! How did you attaching the bales? Glue?
I used E600 (it an industrial strength adhesive, alot of craft stores carry it). I highly suggest using E600, I tried using Crazy Glue on the first few I made, and it didn't stick at all (I dropped one and the bail came clean off). The only problem with E600 is that the larger tubes don't have a precision nozzle, but I just use a bamboo skewer to spread the glue, it works great!

I've bought Scrabble tiles on ebay...they often have huge lots, like 300+ tiles...

I believe you mean E6000 (Ah! Inflation!), which is available in the jewelry section of Hobby Lobby, and the Craft section of Walmart. It DOES produce fumes so you should use it only where there is good ventilation.

The anraku bails, which have the loop pushed forward to balance their pendant are usually available at Hobby Lobby, (if they're not sold out), and go on sale for about 50% off about once a month, with the rest of the jewelry findings.
