ok, so i think i might not have understood the challenge really, but this is the first time i have been able to enter (ever, i always want to, but i am never inspired enough to do it)

I have (as you can imagine) more Disney pictures than I could ever scrapbook EVER. I went through my *leftovers* and picked like 30 (only used 15) and decided to do an altered book. Well that changed when i looked at the picture of Big Thunder, and decided I would do an art book. Use all the different things i love to do in one place (i didnt use Resin because i am out though). I tried to include at least a small piece of all my different passions throughout the book. I had pictures from my first trip (in utero, April 1985, they found out i was in there when they got home from the trip) and i *had* some from my most recent trip in July 08, but i didnt get them developed, so i skipped it.

without much more ado...

the cover

the catalog i started with (it was between this and a small business Uline catalog)

proof that it did indeed start out as a catalog

how i made the spine tape, but it doesnt really show on the front

a close up of how i got it to stay closed, which i lurve...i plan on using this method again on another book

the first page

i drew the pic on the left from sight, which surprised and thrilled me (i have NO talent for drawing in general)

Jungle Cruise and Main St Electrical Parade (from 1985!)

The Matterhorn, then and now

Pirates of the Caribbean (1985) and the Sailing Ship Columbia

the Haunted Mansion

Misc. Disney things from 1990

My little brother in Disney's California Adventure

the end....or is it?

I really hope  you guys like it...i may not have used the actual catalog bits, but it was the perfect shape and density for a book, and i absolutely adore it Smiley

i agree with karimusbunch, using the catalog as a canvas is an awesome idea.
i may have to try making something like this as a gift or a graphic journal.
great idea

LOOKING FOR A PERSONAL SWAP: I'm hoping for dinosaur-themed Xmas crackers, or other dinosaur Xmas items. I can make a Jayne Cobb hat, or many other things!
