Super hot, I love it. You did a great job. I shall tell you my sash experiences. Tying a big foufy bow is not something you want to have to do on the fly (ex. Aww, dude, you sat on my sash!) Trying to tie it when you are in heels and possibly holding a martini glass (and tipsy) seriously blows. I say, make the sash to fit around your waist and use hook and eye tape to close it. Kind of like a belt, just don't overlap to much. Then get some nice sturdy snaps (or hook and eye, or if your ambitious a button) and find your bow placement, sewing the snaps (or whatever) into place, snap the permanent bow on and your done! The snaps worked so well for me on a dress I had, with a massive bow. It stayed shut all night. But even if it did unsnap I could redo it easily. Or make my husband do it which is how I roll Wink

i actually have a friend who owns this dress in black, and while i think it's cute, i don't think most of betsy's stuff is worth the $400 she charges. i think yours is better  Tongue

i don't know if you've ever seen the dress in person to see how it's constructed, but it has a side invisible zip, which causes the sash to be split in 2 on that side (i hope that makes sense). it is tacked down on the other side, and then the bow part hangs freely so you can tie it as you see fit.

i hope that helps Smiley

THIS ROCKS!!!

That's so pretty!!!! I wish I had enough talent and patience to sew something like that.  I'm always just sewing pillows and pajama pants!

Wow! That's absolutely beautiful, and it's so cute I at first thought it was a child's dress. But it looks great on you!
