As a big fan of Gossip Girl, I was wanting to have a go at making Serena's O' de la R. dress. It's from the White Party in the Hamptons.
(Oscar de la Renta dress from the Spring/Summer 2008 collection)

Does anyone know of a pattern that would be similar?

I would try making an infinity dress. They can be tied in many different ways and I think you could tie it to look like the dress Serena wears. There is a tutorial here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=104089.0

In the last issue of Burda magasine, there is a dress who seems quite similar to this one. (Well, there're changes to do but...)
Well, not really sure that it's the same because I can't really have a good look of this dress from this picture.

Here is the link :

Did you end up making this dress? I've been looking for something like it for a while...

If you did make it, what's the back look like of yours and what material did you use?

this is a beautiful dress.

it really shouldn't be that hard to make. the fabric should be something soft and all flowy.. A nice draping fabric.
