I've been making a different pie every week this year, so far I've made 22, these are #s 21 and 22. The Strawberry Rhubarb is totally standard except for the crust, which was a heap of pastry stars and a wee bit of sugar.

It's the 22nd pie of the year that really kills me. Originally, a friend sent me this link (http://www.kayotic.nl/blog/?p=2982) to a Chocolate Apple Pie. I was just about to pop it in the oven when one of my girlfriends came over for my weekly Stitch n Bitch and suggested I put my Punk Rock Brownies on top. So I did, and then when it was ready, I inverted it and put a little icing sugar on top.

So essentially here you have an apple pie with dark Hershey's chocolate mixed in, inside a cocoa pie crust ON TOP of a gooey brownie. I was so sad there was none left over!

Wow!  i can't decide if I should show this to my husband, or never let him see it!  Apple pie and brownies are his 2 favorites things.  I want to show him and see what his reaction is, but I'm afraid he'll ask me to make one and I would have no idea where to start Cheesy

The apple & chocolate pie sounds delicious, though I'd be tempted if I made it to eat it all  Cheesy
