okay, here's my latest. it took some tweaking since my last one, but this one turned out great. i've got it down now! the bag actually has lining this time and the handle is a whole lot better than my first try. i used magenta corduroy and a vintage sheet for the lining. there is an electric blue zipper and then pink applique. the pink applique was just a design as you go idea. it's just sliced up fabric that i just dropped on to the fabric and applied it the way it fell. hope you all like it! thanks for looking!

here's my old one no lining (first one)

here's my second one (with lining but skinny handle and a little too big for my liiking) this one's up for sale in the classifieds if you're interested

my latest and greatest!!

close up of the applique and some extra stitching swirls

Love the pleats, very fun detail!  Must have been time consuming...but definitely worthwhile!

Hey tinafish, they are really really great. They seem very nicely finished, especially the last one. And the slouchy pleated look is so now (at least where i am lol).

Wow you did a great job on those purses, especially on the last one! I love the contrast between the zipper, the lining and the exterior fabric.

it's really easy actually. just cut strips of fabric. mine were just left over from other things... i piled it up on the bag in a random fashion and just sewed right over it! Smiley
