Asian style dress - New Look 6203 - many pics!

[Every Little Thing]

I made this just in time to completely miss winter and now its far too hot to wear it    Its made with some material I bought in India back in January (it was actually a throw) and its lovely and comfy as the material has a little bit of stretch in it and is very soft.  I used New Look 6203 but made it quite a bit longer to turn it into a dress and I also fitted it to my body and put a zip in down the side rather than leaving it wide with ties at the back if that makes sense!  I think it has a bit of 60s retro kind of feel with the boots which is how i'll probably wear it.  anyways here it is...

front



back - made with the border of the throw.  It was sooo hard to get all the pattern pieces to fit nicely on the throw and not end up with upside done elephants!



side view - I had totally intended to show the side with the zip but apparently i'm stupid 



Scuse the bad hair/face, i'd literally just got up!



and a close of the top to show the collar and fastenings
