I bought a pot for $8.00 bucks at Dollar General, spray painted it black and cut out my initial and some curly cues to go on it and it looks great on my front porch....nothing great but I had lots of fun making it!  I'm obviously having trouble posting the pic...I'm working on it

I love the way you did this!!  It came out great and gives me great hope for my old plastic pots.  How did you cut out your initial please?
