Knit up this really simple and cute lace shrug over the weekend.  It was my first time I've attempted lace and I'm hooked.  I messed up a few times with the pattern, but I don't mind.  This was just going to be a test knit, but I've been wearing it non stop so looks like it's going to become a permanent part of the wardrobe.  I used some leftover caron one pound I used for a blanket.  I knit it using a pattern I found on raverly, but I can't recall which one at the moment.

 Nicely done!  Isn't it fun to use up stash yarn and end up with something really useful!  Red is a good color for you!  Keep knitting!

Thats really cute. I am teaching myself cable stitch at the moment and lace is my next challenge I want to try. I might have to use this pattern.

good luck on the cables! they're much more intimidating than they actually are.  This was a really simple lace project, you shouldn't have any trouble at all.
