Craftster mobile, iPhone, iPad, etc. app?

I had a brief foray into making an app with Google App Inventor for Android, which was a good bit of fun. I started on a very basic app for Craftster but I need to figure out a few things first!

So I just got an Android about a week ago and am incredibly new to the whole smart phone thing. What kinds of things do apps for websites do? I'm just curious what all you are asking for because I'm clueless. I can get on Craftster on my phone just fine (and after my friend's 12 year old showed me how to enlarge the screen I can read any page happily and basically do anything I can on the computer). Would it have special features or just make it more phone user friendly? I'm definitely for anything that helps people get on Craftster, I just don't really get it

Most of the time it makes the site more user friendly & uses less bandwith

Oh, ok thank you! I've been using super old technology for so long I don't know what anything is Seriously, my previous cell phone was at least 3-4 years old!

 Just an update on that app I was trying to create for Craftster: I tried making one with the Google App Inventor, but as awesome as that is, it's a very basic site and I just wouldn't be able to do much with it.
 Sadly, I don't know Java but hopefully I'll be able to badger someone I know into making a Craftster app

I too would love to see an App that would be Crafster exclusive for my Ipod touch.  There are a few "free" apps that allow you to view a few sites (one included craftster), however it only let me view six posts, with no options to search.  I would gladly pay to get a mobile version.  i use the Ipod touch so much anymore that it would be worth it!

I have to say that I am constantly on Craftster on my Android and have absolutely no problem posting, viewing, and also doing any kind of moderating I need to. Not sure what an app could add that the regular site doesn't already do. Maybe your phones are slow? Oh, and I have an unlimited data plan, so the bandwidth isn't an issue for me, I see someone mentioned that as an issue.

I don't know about any other state near me but in Vic, Australia to get an unlimited data plan costs you hundreds each month.

My appologies if someone had already suggested this , but I think it would be soo cool of Craftster had a mobile app!!!
