Great job and great story!  I love doing crafts that are meaningful to me and make me smile when I see them... and make other people wonder why the heck I would go to the trouble of making "that".  Wink

What a great way to deliver a pattern.  Also, I love that in your class picture the girl to your other side is wearing the same dress as Julie...only blue.
