i JUST saw a lady at the grocery store that had a sort of cascading handprint tattoo down her arm.  she had an infant and a toddler with her, so i assumed the tattoos were representative of their little kiddo handprints in ink.  it looked amazingly real (the little sworls of the fingerprints and everything). . .sweet little kid handprints going down her arm, as if they'd been clutching her arm.

little ink footprints might be cute, also. . but with four kids that's a lot of ink!

i always liked the idea of a pair of handprint tattoos, or a tattoo of hands on someone's back as if they were being embraced. . .the position of the hands, you know, or arms, showing that the person is loved inside and out.

As soon as I hit the big 18, I'd like to have a Sailor Jerry sparrow tattooed on me somewhere. Maybe my hip or shoulder, I'm not sure ...

I have one on the back of my hip! I loooove it, my only regret is that I can't use that space for a larger piece now.

Hercuteness- Thanks for the ideas...I like the idea of and on back like hug. Yeah 4 kids is hard...that's why I was thinking the finger prints. make a design some how with a finger print or two from each one.

I just thought of it...tellme what you think. each one gives a thumb print and a stick figure that kinda represents them by someything like my one little ones red hair and of course I only have one boy so that would be easy too. My other two are blondes. The age difference is 19 years so that would be easy to. Any drawings anyone might sketch up would be great!

I've got two uncolored koi on my arms....any ideas for colors? I don't know if I want them the same (one on each inner bicep) or different. I'm so undecided on colors...there are so many.

ltlspryt: I would help, but I seriously can NOT draw!! Hee hee...I think that's a cute idea though.

I don't think I posted here already, so here goes...

I've always really wanted the smile of the cheshire cat, right under my belly button. I haven't drawn it out yet, as I'm not entirely sure what I want it to look like. (Anyone want to give it a go? Tongue)

I had a friend who took her mom's thumbprints and had them tattooed next to each other in black to make a heart, outlined in pink. SOunds kinda odd, but it turned out really beautiful. you could do a thumbprint heart for each of your kids, and outline it in a different color

Here's a tattoo I would like to get someday:

The differences would be colour, font and size. I'm not sure about placement. Possibly back of neck or back.

I want to get it because I love to send and receive letters, postcards, etc... Especially from a penpal you don't know.

To me, clowns aren't funny. In fact, they're kind of scary. I've wondered where this started and I think it goes back to the time I went to the circus, and a clown killed my dad.

Who cares!

If you like them and they have meaning to you, who cares what anyone else thinks!
