yay im glad im not alone in my mermaid obsession
this is how nerdy i am... for my german class we had to do an ABC book with a theme... my theme was, of course, the little mermaid... teacher loved it and gave me bonus points for having such an original theme

most of my family can sing every song from it because of me Grin
id litterally sit there all day watching it... it would end and i'd be like AGAIN AGAIN

ok back on topic, tattoos are great Grin

I'm still throwing around concepts for my mermaid tattoo, which I hope to get soon... I was even thinking of getting some scales tattooed on my legs.

I've finally decided what I want for my fist tattoo, after years of trying to figure something out that I love and would want on my body forever.
I'm gonna get two crows flying (kinda like the ever popular sparrow or swallows, but they will be not very cartoony, more like a loose ink drawing, then a big bright red poppy or small cluster of em, in the cleavage area between the crows, also in a looser style. I am so excited! now i jsut need to start saving money....

The hubby and I are thinking of getting matching tattoos (CUZ WE ARE SO CHEESY!)  of a snake in the shape of the infinity sign (also know as ouroboros) with celtic knotwork down its back.  Reasoning for it - we breed and raise snakes, he is in mathmatics, well the infinity thing is self explanitory, celtic knotwork because I am scottish and he likes celtic stuff and the ouroboros is also the Aes Sedai ring (if you are a Wheel of Time fan) We may do the two snake shape (ie. there are two of us AND it looks like the medallion from The Neverending Story - ahh gotta love our geekiness).

I have plans to get a tattoo of my dog's pawprint (see avatar). Her name is Clover (thus my username...duh. Tongue) and I'd like to somehow incorporate a four-leaf clover in the design, but I can't come up with anything creative. I've thought about putting it in the middle of the paw print, behind the paw print, and in front of it, but everything I think of comes out pretty basic (plus, I'm really horrible at drawing, so it never turns out like I'd hope). I'd like the paw print to be lime green and I like the kind of cutesy rockabilly look I'd guess you call it?, but that's about as far as I've gotten with figuring everything out. Also, I live in Salinas, CA so if anyone knows of any good tattoo artists in my area (Salinas, Monterey, Hollister, Gilroy, Santa Cruz), I'm willing to go drive a bit in order to get someone good. I hope this post isn't off base. Everyone here is so crafty, I thought maybe someone could help me out of my brain block.

clay pants.

i LOVE that idea!  crows are so smart and weird.

your idea reminds me of the closing credits of The Secret of NIMH. . .where the two crows (jeremy and a female crow) are swooping around in the background with a length of red yarn between them.

i've always remembered that part of the movie because i thought it was such a pretty image.

go get your crows!
