So as discussed in the FF 05/30 thread, This is where we will further discuss the ideas for our WoW themed yarn.
I'm starting off with Shadow priest, as I'm fairly familiar with that one.  Then onto Rogue next.    As soon as I'm done those I will post a thread in the finished projects section.   This is going to be fun!

so many great ideas. I am going to play tonight and keep my eyes out for inspiring items. I spun some acid-green silk that looked like rune thread Cheesy

maybe yarns based on your toon would be fun! spinning leather scraps in may be a bit much, but part of me can't help but want to. and then do QUADRUPLE the nerdiness knit the yarn into a dice bag or something.... ha

enchanting add ins- beads, silvery thread bits, glitz (aka angelina) I always think sparkle sparkle when I think enchanting.

i see my shadow priest yarn in my head, I just need to get some fiber I can  deal with to start it!... oh and I should probably do my swap stuff first though....

Hrmm... it reminds me of something too, definitely.  But I'm mentally looking through my Hunter (60), Shaman (46), and Mage (mid 20s) and I can't think of anything!  (The Hunter's my main, but I haven't gotten TBC yet >.<)  Another thought:  A mix of the Horde/Alliance Mountain Dew drinks?  The Alliance drink is a mana blue color, and the Horde soda is just an average red...

That's about all I could come up with... my boyfriend plays a priest though, and maybe that's what I remember these colors from...  so, ask a priest?

OHH!  (my brain is still working on this, clearly)  Murloc color!!  I looooove Murlocs!  In particular, the body of this murloc: http://www.flasharcade.com/images/bigthumbs/Murloc.jpg

Hope this helps!

I'm not one for WoW, but I was playing an in-browser game a while ago and even though I was a priest, I kept buying spider silk and spindles and crafting my own clothes. I couldn't help it!

Love that roving Belladune. Need a hackle dang it! I wanted so badly to blend fibers for the swap but I just wasn't confident enough yet. I'll have to give it a go for the frequent fiber swaps.

It took me a bit to figure out what the heck you guys were talking about, then I realized with a giant, "Doh!" World of Warcraft. Duhhhh!

I freaking love how much you can be inspired by everyday life in fiber arts. I can't look at a piece of fiber without relating it to a particular subject or food or something.

I love this thread, and everything pictured so far! I was actually looking for something like this a couple months back, thinking someone HAS to have done WoW inspired yarn!

I can't wait to see the spinnings!

I was more hooked on Mabinogi than WoW but this thread is awesome!

It occurred to me one day that I could spin yarn in real life and not just via a character online.  And, thus became my spinning obsession.  Great idea to make WoW inspired rovings and yarn.  You inspired me!!

This thread rocks my socks off so hard they take someone's eye out.

I have spent many a moment farming cloth and leveling my tailoring and just telling myself: Be patient....pretend like she's drop spinning.

I was just thinking, would anyone be interested in keeping an updating list of Craftsters with their WoW mains (and some alts) and the server in this thread?  I'd be willing to manage it if people would pm or comment with information.  Since there are so many people, it's unlikely we know each other already, but it's good to have connections!  Although, would it stay in the Fiber Arts category or require a new thread?  Just give me some input, and I'll get on it!

Belladune!  This is a bit really freaking freaky because we were just talking about keeping a list.  I think I joined your guild last night!  Assuming you're Belledonna on Madoran, Aadine is my Alliance character.

See! A character list would be useful!

Aww, pity...

I think the appropriate board for an all-inclusive Wow players thread would be under Misc, since all of the others are more craft-specific.  I've sent a message to the moderator through the help desk to work out some details, but I can start one if we get a positive response!

Also, is anyone else in the swapping mood?  I really feel like sending a package or something, I guess.

I got a response and was told to start a thread looking for interested people.  If you're for this idea, please comment on the thread! http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=321012.0

Haha, my Leatherworking makes me laugh too.  Especially since sewing is the one thing I do absolutely none of. ^.^  (It's the whole lacking-a-sewing-machine thing...)

And have you noticed Blizzard has started to pick up that a lot of WoW players craft?  I've been trying to collect the entire set of crocheted gear...  (For those interested: http://www.wowhead.com/?search=Crochet)  There's a knitted set too, but it doesn't have as many pieces. (http://www.wowhead.com/?search=knit)

Yes I noticed that!! I saved a pair of crocheted gloves early on so I could wear them when I lvled! Unfortunately my main and my dk are too high to wear them anymore!
