Since hallmark doesn't make a card for this particular occasion, I recently made this cake to celebrate the anniversary of the sex-reassignment-surgery (vaginoplasty) of one who is near and dear to me.  I mean, what seven year old pussy wouldn't want a Hello Pussy cake to celebrate?

It was ridiculously simple to do, too.
I just printed out a picture of the face, cut it out, placed it on the cake, traced around it, and cut away the bits of cake that were not kitty shaped.  Then i put the cake on a cake rack, with a plate underneath, and poured melted white chocolate over it.  It made such a perfect smooth finish, without the fuss of icing.  Some licorice, a few jelly beans, and some pink sprinkles, and voila!
Hello Pussy!

well done!
And I really think there needs to be a greeting card line outside of the normal blah blah blah ones.  My friends were thinking of making greeting cards for those "awkward moments" like a card on the outside that says, "Darling, I love you more than words can say..." and on the inside it says, "and I'm sorry I had sex with your best friend."  Way to go on the creative holiday.

Thumbelina!  My friend and I have talked about making "sarcastic" cards too!  There is definitely a market for this.

Ahahaha - that's simultaneously so kind and so funny!  I love the idea of celebrating such a special event, but in a light-hearted manner.  You are a good friend.  Smiley

Damn. I can't see the post.  Sounds like an excellent holiday to celebrate, though.

I love it! I bet your friend'll be so happy with it. Thanks for the tip on the icing, too. I HATE frosting cakes.  Cheesy
