There was a tutorial for this exact project somewhere, I think it was in a recent issue of ReadyMade.

Yours turned out great!

soooooooooo awesome!!! this is just great!!! i love this! i want one,but i am not good with measuring, so it would not come out nearly as well and symmetrical as yours

I actually didnt measure at all.  I just drew straight lines across the back of the wooden circle.  Cut 8 magazine dowels to the longest length i wanted and just filled in the shorter ones around it.  No measuring tape needed.  It is much easier once you have to longest peices already glued down, then it cant really get off center.

Excellent work, I think the finished mirror looks fantastic, and it would great in an antiqued bronze too.

That is such an amazing idea...I am definigely stealing it  Grin (if you don't mind?) What did you use to keep the newspaper fixed up in a roll out or interest - was it all a glue job or did you use masking tape or the like?

I used Barge Rubber cement that i applied pretty heavily across the entire end.  I did 4 or 5 at a time so by the time I got to rolling them the rubber cement was tacky and held pretty well.  I did have to go back and do a few touch ups before attaching them to the wood center.   Rubber cement will work best because it wont cause the paper to swell up like regular craft glue.

hope this helps!
