hmm.. looks like americal apparel is making bank on adult sized pillow case dresses to me.

i have some sweet plaid, i might make myself a long shirt/short dress ( which would never be a dress really because i have thunder thighs and would wear pants with it always )

i do like the many ways to wear it idea though.

OK so I made a dress from some lightweight jersey I had.  They Jury is still out on it.  I will say that the 5-6" on the sides for the slits isn't enough, they seem short, I'm going to open them up about 3 more inches, see where that takes me.

mine are about 4 1/2 yards. i didn't realize they were that long until just now when i measured them. they do leave a nice long tail though when i tie them so 3ish yards would probably be sufficient.
