Guys & Dolls (1940s / 1950s) Swap

Alright, here's what I sent. If you're out there, kittymoose, you can comment!

First was an apron in black & white checks and cherries. Kinda funny because she also made me an apron out of the same fabric, but in blue & white! We didn't even know!


Then, she said she liked pinup girl decor and kitchen stuff. So I combined the two ideas and made etched glasses. Sadly, one of them broke (don't know which one), but this is what they looked like before the post office manhandled them! (It was really hard taking pictures of these. Try to ignore my backyard.)

I received my package on Friday but didn't have time yet to post. I took the pictures straight away. I am looooooving everything. Thank you so much half pint.

A lovely headband which I am wearing today as well (cherry side up).
It is revearsable.



and some little cute envelopes with retro themed pictures (they will be in the group shot at the end)

and the most amazing stencil. I told her I love Rita Hayworth. I don't know anymore if I mentioned that I will be moving soon. This will go straight into my studio on my wall. It will inspire me to make more vintage inspired stuff.
Half Pint I am loving this so much. You must have spend ages on it. Absolutely perfect.

I was lucky enough to have two people (mother and daughter) crafting for me, so they reallyreally spoiled me!

And a purse (don't know the exact word) for my make-up and stuff, filled with yummy candy

a notebook and a real vintage magazine (the secret of the dancer)


postcards and little samples of make up/perfume/face cream (which I can put to good use, since I like to travel light on trips and when I'm out in the fields with the army)

My partner was our wonderful organizer, and she sent some GREAT goodies!


the whole lot! I got some fabulous fabric rollers (which I used yesterday and they work SO great, even in my super thick and heavy hair!), a couple of awesome magnets, a polka dot hair scarf, which unfortunately doesn't fit my huge head lol, a great orchid hair flower, and the COOLEST iron on "What would Hitchcock do?" I am trying to come up with something stellar to do with it, and I got some GREAT hitchcock inspired address labels!!

I have an unusually large head lol
but I can use it around ponytails and the fabric is so soft and silky! I love it!!
