My name is Beth and Im a chubby 25 year old living in western Michigan. Im a graduate student in biology working with algae and insects in streams. I love all things sciency and naturey. Im trying to green up my lifestyle and make/buy handmade clothing, cleaning and bath supplies etc I am married to an awesomely crafty man who likes homemade stuff as much as me. I live with 3 cats in a tiny apartment and have no allergies. I like most colors but no neons or pastels, and red tends to be my favorite. I tend to opt for organic or linen fabric that has gone through little to no bleaching. With that said Im a nut for Amy Butler and Heather Ross type bold designs as well. I am pretty easy to please. PM me if you have any questions!

I claim banga for rubber stamps, ephemera and altered art supplies. This is my third claim. None sent.

ABOUT ME

Hi there! I love feltmaking, papercrafts and altered art, and am addicted to swaps.  Wink

I live in Australia but I have only asked for lightweight items - so hopefully I won't stall the swap.  Wink

MY LIKES & DISLIKES
I would describe my style as "eco chic". I prefer natural materials (for enviromental and tactile reasons) so please avoid sending synthetic yarns, fibres or fabrics please.

I love pre 1970s vintage fabric - particularly vintage florals, upholstery fabrics and cotton velvet. I also like modern baroque/rococo style prints, and fabrics with silhouettes of leaves or branches/trees like Joel Dewberry's ones. I'm not a fan of stripes, spots, plaids/checks, skulls, country/cutesy, or disney/anime stuff.

I love berry shades, dark reds, muted pinks & purples, leaf green. I also like beige and chocolate brown.  No neons or black please, and I don't like yellow, orange, navy, peach or mint green.

Please see my profile and wists for more info about me.

CRAFTED ITEMS

SEWN

Drawstring bags
I could really use some cotton drawstring bags to carry my shoes and underwear when I go on vacation. See my colour and fabric preferences above.
Thanks gavagai

Sewing machine bag
I would love a bag for my vintage 1978 Bernina (its original bag died long ago). It would be great if it had a zip at the top and strong handles so I can carry it around places. Some pockets (inside and/or outside) for thread, bobbins etc would also be great. Please PM me for measurements - the machine is currently being serviced but should be back soon.

CROCHETED

Crocheted Cotton Flowers
I'm collecting crocheted flowers made with cotton yarn in pink and berry shades to match the beautiful crocheted purse that I received in a previous round.

Crocheted cotton market/shopping bag
I would love one that folds up into its own pocket. See my colour preferences above and my wists for examples
Thanks JanelleJ

KNITTED

Knitted Woollen Socks
I would love a pair of pure wool hand knitted socks in any of the berry shades. I'm not really into stripes but a variegated yarn would be nice. Shoe size is US 9.

Screen/gocco printed cards
See my wists for ideas. I love botanical prints - modern or vintage inspired.

JEWELLERY/JEWELRY

Earrings/rings/brooches made with vintage floral cabs or cameos

My name is Janelle and I'm in Illinois, USA. I'm a stay-at-home mommy to two wonderful children. Izak is three, and Lailah was born this January. I am a lover of all crafts, so I'm super easy to please. My very favorite colors are chartreuse, gray, chocolate brown, deep aqua and green. I am allergic to cats, but crafts from homes that have a cat don't seem to really bother me. I'm not allergic to smoke, but I would rather things didn't smell of it. My favorite colors are chartreuse, chocolate brown, gray, mustard yellow, mulberry, deep purples, and lime green. I'm always open to trying out new things, so feel free to de-stash on me if you wish. Thanks in advance for claiming me.

I claim claire313 for some rings, a wide belt and some supplies!

This is my third claim, 0 sent, 0 received

My name is Janelle and I'm in Illinois, USA. I'm a stay-at-home mommy to two wonderful children. Izak is three, and Lailah was born this January. I am a lover of all crafts, so I'm super easy to please.

Crafts
Anything from my wists. http://www.wists.com/JanelleJ
A T-shirt like this http://www.craftster.org/pictures/data/500/medium/100_05902.JPG for my son in 4/5. He really likes Plex (the yellow robot), but is a huge fan on the show so he will be super happy with any of these.
A pillowcase dress for my daughter. around 3-6 months or 6-9 months size.
A fabric bucket

A small zippered makeup bag
Re-usable swiffer pads
Crafty onesies for my little girl (size 3-6 mos) or crafty T-shirts for my little boy (4T or 4/5)
Hair accessories for my daughter. Clips, headbands, etc. I really like the kind that aren't baby/pastel colors that I could find anywhere. Funky is good.
Birds nest pendant
Any vintage inspired jewelry
Any Steampunk jewelry
Carrot, octopus, whale, tree or umbrella themed surprise!
A crocheted or knitted hat with a brim for my son. He is three-years-old and generally wears size 4/5 in clothing. I can measure his head if you PM me.
Any personified fruits/veggies (kid friendly). I already have a pear, an orange and a lemon.
Anything to display in my African-themed living room (think African masks, woven baskets, wooden bowls with patterns carved in, original artwork, etc.)
Large bag made of some funky fabric
Nursing cover, also of funky fun fabric

Charms for charm bracelet
Anything Final Fantasy themed for my husband
Anything Thomas the Tank Engine themed for my son. His favorite train is Percy (green), but he likes them all. (can be toys or room decor because his room is decorated in Thomas stuff)

Crochet hook roll
An altered jewelry box
Russian nesting dolls made of any medium (felt, fabric, wood, etc.)
Any resin pendants or bangles. See my wists for examples of my "style"
An altered book journal
A boppy pillow cover for a girl
A CD holder book thing to hold DVDs and PS3 games
Diaper covers for my daughter 3-6 mos, 6-9 mos
Legwarmers for my daughter
Any homemade soaps, lotions or other bath and body products. I love most all scents, especially citrus-y but not minty
An apron, full or waist. I think I want to start a collection of these.
Wall art for my bathroom. The colors in there are orange, sage green, chocolate and tan.
Scarves! I prefer sewn scarves over knitted/crocheted ones because I can knit or crochet them myself.

Supplies

Any type of tools or molds(used is fine with me) to use in working with polymer clay
Polymer clay in any color, especially white or gray
Yarn (any color, weight, etc.) I can never ever ever have enough. (no novelty yarn, though  Wink)
Any kind of beads. The funkier the better!
Safety eyes---any kind
Fabric paint, markers or dye
Wire. Any color, and gauge, any amount. I'm really in need of larger gauge wire, but I use a lot of all kinds.

Thanks again to those who have already claimed me, and whoever claims me next!
