Has anyone made Hello Yarn's cycling aran?
I'm having some serious problems with the chart - I see myself doing exactly what it says and the results don't look anything like the photo.
Help?!

you smell... Grin

and no, I haven't made or even seen that pattern.  Have you looked for an errata?  Could the pattern be using "yo" in one of its various forms?  (sometimes patterns incorrectly use this term) Are you reading the chart correctly (left to right, right to left?)

You smell worse!!!  Roll Eyes

Yeah, I've been looking and I know that I am doing things as the chart says. You'd be amazed how freakin detailed I am being with this sweater. I love it so much, in theory. I know I can do it.

you could email the designer and ask for clarification.  Keep us posted.  I have that one printed out and waiting for me to get to it.  Just in time for summer.  Excellent timing   Tongue

if you can't be a good example then you'll just have to be a horrible warning.

Hello,

If you let me know what part you're having a problem with, I'll help!  There was an error in the chart that was corrected on 10/4/04, but if you printed it out after that, the chart is correct.  I know other people have knit the sweater.  So, maybe describe what you're doing and I'll see if I can figure out what's up.

Hi! I've just started, and noticed when I made the very first cable that it looked awry. Then I checked the Staghorn Cable in Barbara Walker's Treasury of Knitting Patterns and realized that I should be cabling 4 BACK first, then cabling 4 front.

The chart and key make it look the other way around. I haven't experimented to see how it looks the other way, but my sweater is turning out GREAT--thank you, helloyarn!! Finally something my dad will wear...
