Ok well the second project i guess can't really be considered a mistake but the first one can.  I've just barely started knitting and at the moment have two other projects going on.  I'm one of those beginner knitters that well sometimes don't have patience and things come out wonky.  Take these two for example both projects were supposed to be a scarf for my sister.  That went wrong X)  the bag was the first attempt and some how I ended up adding stitches instead of staying with what was supposed to be on there.  So I cut it off and made a bag even made my own button to do it.  As for the button hole that was an accident as well it just happened as I was knitting.

my second attempt at the scarf and ended up making it way to long for my sis! it actually pools a little bit at her feet. so i'm going to send it to Jared, its going to be a surprise for him. he has no idea whats coming at him hahahhah!

anywho what do think? c and c is most welcome!

Patience and practice make perfect =) Your off to a good start, keep it up.

Thats the magic of garter stitsch, it always almost doubles in lenght once its off the needles.  My first knit scarves ended up almost 8ft long once worn.
