I love this! I am going to have to make some for grocery bags, thanks for the link. I dont think that fabric is too loud at all, it looks great!

I made something similar, only it had a flat bottom (the pattern I had called it a Japanese Knot Bag). I think these bags are so awesome. They are so simple, but so fun. I love your fabric choices too! Very fun. How much did you enlarge the pattern and how big did it end up being?

I enlarged it only by drawing  an additional 3/4 inch past the pattern on all sides.  but I am sure that you could enlarge each piece by a percent or something and do it the right way.

its leaning against a standard singer sewing machine  if that helps for size.   if not I can measure it.

Well, I'll just base it on my sewing machine then. I think that's a pretty good size. The one I made ended up kind of small. This one would be much easier to enlarge though. And if enlarged enough it would make a good grocery bag, like kourtney333238 mentioned.

gasp! thank ou for the link to that pattern!  I now know how to rescue the bag I made that I wanted to have hang like that, but my patern didn't work out, but I can fix it!

that linning material is awesome!  matches the shell fabric perfectly! its one happy bag!
