I am sorry, but I am a urology nurse. I recognize that rubber tube as a red rubber catheter. I guess I never thought they could be repurposed into anything else. I hope it wasn't used!! Smiley

I'm a vet tech, and I recognized it as the same. Lol.

And the maggots seem cool, until you work at an ER for animals. All the people who keep their dogs ourside all the time bring them in infested with maggots! They smell bad, and you can actually hear them crawling around eating them...makes  me cringe!

You are very correct. It is the tubing from a foley catheter. No, it has not been used (I'm not THAT gross). I am a nurse as well (birth center) and we had some packages that were damaged/opened, and I thought I might be able to use the tubes for something.
I also worked as a vet tech for 2 years, and am very familiar with the horrors of maggots (in live animals, no less).

However, most people in the medical field have a "strange" sense of humor. This was not meant to offend. But then, I don't really care if it offends, either.
