I used some bits from my fairy swap package to decorate some journals. The first one is the swap journal I made.

The other one is a purchase journal. The lace on the front is difficult to see, I also used pressed flowers from my garden. It is sealed with fusible vinyl to protect the flowers.

and the back

I am not sure what I am going to do with the cream colored one, but I love the subtle colors.

These are beautiful. I really love the colours in the first one, but the bleeding hearts really make the second two phenomenal.

How did you manage to get the hearts to press so nicely? My flowers always seem to press themselves into odd shapes no matter how meticulously I put them in place.

I absolutly love the pressed bleeding heart with the decorative stem drawn on! You must have had it pressed in some seriously heavy books!!!

Bleeding hearts seem to lend themselves to pressing. I didn't take any special care other than putting the book under a table leg overnight. Out of the three stems I had one single blossom smooshed. I took that stem apart to use the single blossoms. I thought it would be interesting to do another one with a variety of pressed flowers and their scientific names. I just need more flowers to press.
