I was really torn on what to make a friend for her bridal shower, so I made some chocolate-covered cashews, bought a cute little wall plaque, and made these yummy chocolate caramel apples.  The groom's is chocolate with a white chocolate placket and chocolate bow tie & buttons.  The bride's is white chocolate with coconut and a Nerds necklace (it needed to look more like a dress!).  I got the idea from a place that sells them for waaaay more than I could afford.  In the photo I let them dry too close to each other, so the groom kissed his bride a little bit (brown smudge on right of bride apple), but other than that I think they came out great.  They were pretty easy so I totally recommend doing it.

What a great idea!  They are really cute.  You have way more patience than I would.  I love to eat apples like this but don't like messing with making them myself.

wow I'm surprised you haven't received more comments on these... Its such a cute idea in general and the fact that you handmade them is a plus (as far as thoughtfullness to the receiver) and a plus for your pocketbook!! I think they are adorable good job!!

great idea.  very cute and means so much more since you made them yourself instead of just bought them.
