I just got the pattern in the mail on Tuesday. I absolutely love the dress. My daughters friends mom found this fun fabric at the local thrift store. Teal with white polka dots, I said it just had to be a dress. So with a half a yard of block corduroy that I got for 50% off. YE YAY!!!, and a big teal button I got this. TA DA!!!

I should have ironed the fabric a little.
This dress is a twirler that I made a few weeks ago out of her daddy's old shirts. I'm kinda addicted to twirlers. This is my 3rd this month.

My pumpkin loves this dress.

And so, tell me what you think.
Thanx for looking  Smiley

I am really intimidated by the gathered layers. I have a ruffler foot but have yet to really learn how to use it. Did you gather them by hand?

Actually I gathered them using clear elastic. Its really easy to use and its cheap too. I used Vegbee's tute for the twirler.

and rather than sewing each tier into a tube first, gathering and then sewing it to the next tier, I left each tier as one long strip, gathered it, sewed it to the tier above it and then sewed the end up. I hope you get what I'm saying. It all sounds a bit confusing. It also helps if you write down the length of each tier before hand so you know how long to cut your elastic, and always go from bottom to top. Trust me its so much easier.
