The school year was especially rough this year, leaving me absolutely no time to craft in any manner/medium/material.

Now that I have time, there will be more crafting.

I went out today and bought a wood burner, and some unfinished pieces of wood, and this is my first wood burned piece!

All the line work is wood burned, and the color is watercolor, except for the black border which is acrylic. I wasn't too sure how this would end up, since I've never wood burned before, but I really like it! I looked to old school tattoo flash for some inspiration, and couldn't resist the subtle snarky remark on the ribbon  Wink

C+C always welcome! Thanks for having a look!

Somehow the snarky remark doesn't seem to go with the face, but it's a very good woodburn.  I like it a lot.  I've done a lot of woodburning, but I've never combined it with any kind of painting.  It looks great this way.

Well done.

I love it. I bought a wood burner...but haven't used it yet! This gives me some motivation!  Smiley

I really like it! It looks just like embroidery. Wood burning is a craft I'd like to try out. I love the ribbon, it totally changes the way you see the piece.
