after looking for a bed for our dog, i decided 20+ was too much for a giant pillow filled with egg crate foam.  i had some memory foam for a twin bed i will never use so i  got a towel, folded it in half, sewed  it like a pillow with a zipper and stuffed some foam in there
 pictures, and some action shots.

he loves the bed. its outside with him now... we had to keep him outside because he just got fixed and i cant have a 2 year old rolling all over him.

we adopted jake fromthe shelter, who said he was three months old.  if thats 3 months hes going to be a giagantic dog.  i think hes six months or older because the vet said he only had one baby tooth left.
we have decided he is most likely a lab/great dane mix.

i told my dh that i didnt want a dog, and a small dog would be tolerable if he had to have one... and this is what we get.

Great idea with the towel! My neighbors downstairs have a lab great dane mix and it is HUGE! And a barker. Funny that a person who does not want a dog has a really big (perhaps high maintenance) dog. Good job making him feel at home!

Great idea for a dog bed Grin I have two big dogs myself, both of them from shelters. Please remember that he didnt ask you to go there and bring him, you were the one who brought him, so...give him love, hes just a craeture of God like you and me Cheesy

oh i dont hold anything against the dog.  and i can care for him, but my husband failed to realized that while it would be his dog, it would be my responsibility... even though i have enough of that with a toddler.

hes gonna be an outdoor doggy with privlidges, cause i cant stand to think of him being hold up in the house all day when we both have to work.. or forced outdoors if he wants to be in, when were home. im all for free range doggies, when they learn where home is and why they should stay.
