Stuffies from old clothes! Bear and Penguin

In progress, I thought he looked hilarious with no arms:



I made him out of cords I grew out of in high school but kept anyways because I liked them so much, and plaid shorts that I ripped climbing over a fence.
I love him.


Also, I made a penguin out of sweatshirts.


He is the 3rd stuffie I've sewn and my first without a pattern so please excuse his messiness/ugliness. As my dear friend said, retarded penguins are cute too! I forgot that penguins have tails when i drew it out and his head is strangely shaped, and I got frustrated and just broke out the felt to finish him off. I'm very proud of the shape of his belly, though.

Aww!  They are both adorable, but I love the bear!  I still have some old clothes from high school too and they would work well for this pattern.  Thanks so much for the link!    Great and cute way to re-use.
