A bit late posting these one here -__-U They were made for the OWS 43 about 2 months ago but then I moved countries and my partner had family issues to deal with so this is the first time they're being posted!

I'm so happy with this cute little choo-choo train! It was made without a pattern but just looking at some pictures of trains and old-school steam locomotives helped me along. My partner requested people to go with it but just with the size I didn't think I'd be able to crochet them so I made some finger puppets with felt and included some felt cubes for her kids to play with!

In the swap package I included an onigiri maker and misc. bento stuff since my partner mentioned she was interested in those and I threw in some letter paper that is similar to stuff on her wists (she likes elephants) I still haven't heard back from her but I hope she's doing all right and liked the package!

That is so cool, and I'm very impressed you did it without a pattern!  I'm sure your partner was totally overjoyed, I know I would have been.  Gorgeous, and the little finger puppet people are perfect!

That is a great train, although I think my favourite part is the movable people.

Congrats on being a featured project!!

Oh wow C: Thanks!

Thank you everyone for your comments. Once I knew my partner wanted a train set I immediately thought of Thomas the tank engine et al. since that's something I grew up with. Fortunately (since I didn't have a pattern) all the parts are simple square or rectangle shapes so it was easy enough to figure out with time--- I did have to redo the front part once but it was a fun experience and now I might have to make one for myself!!
