got my quilt a few days back and finally got pics to share!
it's just a wonderfully fab quilt - just love it! the colors are so nice and the design is perfect Smiley  RetroRose hand pcs the background and the detail in the stitching is so nicely done. the way the leaves are sewn on gives them movement as if the wind is blowing thru them. very cool Smiley

and to better show the colors

Here's another photo to show colour. The purple background was pieced together in strips. This is my first quilt ever, so I'm very glad it came out okay and that GG loves it! Cheesy The silhouette for the tree trunk was of a ballet dancer!

More pics are in my blog, of this and of the one Goat Goddess made for me.

The reason I said we were both so strikingly similar was because we both used human forms turning into trees! Isn't it wild that this was totally unplanned? I think this was a perfect match, and I love the design she did for me. I keep it on my computer monitor at night, because she made it to fit my screen! Cool eh?

(Note the post-its with addresses of swap partners, deadlines, and projects to make! Wink)

She did little beads on it by hand too. I love that! Did you know she also painted that face on herself?

I got my mini-quilt from Taoj! I love it!! Grin

She used my "dress form theme!"

Close-up of the tiny patchwork (which I love) on the top left dress form:

Awesome fancy boa!

Check out the cool embroidery! And the fabric is perfect!

Thanks TAOJ! I am so excited to hang this in my sewing room! I mailed yours yesterday, hopefully it won't take too long to go from the US to Canada!
