I found a Go-Go's record at the thrift store the other day, and decided do make my first record bowl out of it:

It was so easy and fast! I would love to do more!

I made my bowls soo long ago and gave most away as gifts but I did keep this one and managed to snap a pic of it the other day to post here. I didn't melt mine in the oven though... I used a large pan filled with water that i brought to a boil to melt mine in. I just wore heavy duty leather worker's gloves to protect myself from the hot water. Using this stovetop method allowed me to shape the bowls by hand so I could control the shape and amoount, size etc. of the 'waves'

In case you can't tell its a Heart record... Butterfly and Dog I believe...

I live with my parents and I did mine whilst my mum was out.  It just smells a little funky afterwards (well mine did).

I'm telling ya! Tongue Use the boiling water and hand mold method like I did and there is no stench! Just wear some work gloves, to protect yourself!
