At the end of school my daughter brought home a box of crayons. So what does a crafty mom do with a box of nasty broken crayons? I put them in my newest cupcake/muffin pan. This one happened to be dinosaurs i got for Ivans birthday. So we did some crazy mix ones and some color speciffic ones. All in all i think they turned out prettty good and the kids (my 2 and the 2 i babysit) liked helping sort the colors out.

I whipped up a tut its on page 2! http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=306488.msg3512319#msg3512319

How in the heck do you mold them so well? Those are fantastic. Don't have kids but would adapt it to things I might like in the house. Really awesome.

This may not happen, since I have had major surgery on my shoulder.

That is such a neat way to reuse all those broken crayon bits. Love it!

What sort of molds did you use for yours? They came out really good.

Thanks everyone!

janelloshea - it was a dino muffin pan from Target. I cant remember the brand though. Its shaped like a dinosaur foot print though. They also had a butterfly pan from the same brand. I'm thinking i might go back and pick that one up too.

This is such a great idea!!!  Now I'm on the outlook for cute pans. (Glad I didn't throw out my old toaster\oven.)
