i used the tut on http://www.sleepingbaby.net/jan/Baby/sling.html, she's very particular about fabric choice and rings, especially for safety, so i'm not too nervous about how it holds up. my rings are from home depot (a little small, but they're 200lb tested)..

should have chosen a different color material, i know, but i'm thinking i may tie-dye it. Cheesy
it seems a bit small when i put it on, i'm thinking it could be a number of things:
38 weeks pregnant
is thick twill material
may loosen up after washing

anyway, it was a simple project and i'm proud of the results, would love to do another one.

that would definitely be cute if you dyed it.

Tye dye would be so cute! And it's coming up on the perfect season for it. May I ask, though, if you remember what the rings were called when you bought them at Home Depot? I've been looking for those for a while, and every time I ask at hardware stores I'm shown stuff that is in no way what I described, and they give me funny looks when I don't buy what they showed.

mmm, i understand the funny looks. Smiley
i'm not 100%, but i think they were called livestock rings, and they're steel...
they were located by the chains and pulleys...fun stuff!
hope you can find them!

Livestock rings, you say? I now stand a much better chance of finding them, thank you! The funny looks I get for not buying their wondrous merchandise are almost as amusing as the looks I get when they find out I'm making clothing with the stuff.  Grin
