Also, I'm a cheapskate!  I love the colors, too!  I have read a couple of different places that steam blocking acrylic makes it softer and more "flowy", but I can't say from experience that this works yet.  I'll let you know after I experiment.

LOL, me too!  Sadly I sold all of my Red heart a while back, didn't think to make a blanket out of it.  (the lady I sold it to makes things for hospitals and shelters, so that makes me happy )  When I made blankets with my knitting machine I would use one of those steamers they use to have informercials for all the time to steam them and it does make them nice and soft.

LOVE the join as you go method. Something I definitely want to try. I have been wanting to make a scrap blanket like that for a while but I have not had the motivation. You may have just provided it!

This is absolutely gorgeous! i started teaching myself to crochet afew months ago but hadnt really progressed to far. As soon as i saw this though, i raced to the shops, bought loads of colourful wool and learnt how to make granny squares!

I havn't tried the link as you go method yet, though im sort of wishing i had, as its gonna be a pain putting the squares together when i finally get to it. Thanks for the inspiration!

I love this blanket!!  I have a granny square blanket I started forever ago and seeing this made me want to get it out and finish it!     Since I just finished a project, i can do that!  yay!

That looks awesome, I've always wanted a granny square blanket ever since I started watching the "Roseanne" (they have one on their couch). Your blanket makes me wanna start a new project before I've finished my old ones.

omg u got to be kidding me Im makeing a quilt from i think the site is yellerhouse im make the casablanca quilt and omg are you telling me I could of joined the squares like that omg. wish i would of saw this post sooner omg Im sewing my little squares together as instructed. but when i saw this im like omg. if only I would of saw ur post. lol im sorry with repeating my self and the omg. its just if only u can see me sewing like i think 1000 squares together. oh will you taught me a lesson and a good one at that lol. thanks for the heads up so the next quilt i do im gonna give this a shoot. thanks again and great job on ur granny bolanket me like.
