AMAZING! This is really really really gorgeous. You are making me jump up now and run to my yarn stash to see what I can use to make this Smiley Now...to find out how to make a granny square...

Joining as you're working is a great idea.  I always lose steam at the end trying to sew my throws together.  I swear, I probably have a couple blankets' worth of granny squares floating around my apartment.  And now I'm really encouraged to finish one because your throw is absolutely gorgeous.  I adore all the color.

I agree with everyone else- the colors on this are great!  Can you tell us what yarn you used?

I just love all the colors and I am quite interested in how you joined the squares. Mine Grannies always seem to fall apart!

Those colors are BEAUTIFUL!!! I've never heard of the join-as-you-go ... I'll have to try it next time I make granny squares! Thanks for sharing!

(love the quilt, too - I love your taste in colors!)

Wow, what an awesome throw! I love how the colors are really random throughout - each square and the placement of them together. I think it'd be hard for me to keep from making some kind of pattern with something similar.

Simply gorgeous!  Great work Smiley  My grandma used to make these, and she's no longer with us ... It really makes me miss her Smiley  She left us, among other memories, a legacy of crocheted quilts!!!  Your family is sure to love that one Smiley
