I got this pattern from Sarah London's wonderful crochet blog. She has a free tutorial for it. I started making it about 9 months ago and was excited that I could manage something which looked so complicated as I am relatively new to crochet. I just finished it this week and have already given it away to a great friend who just celebrated her 50th birthday! She was delighted.
It is really soft and heavy and also reversible, as both sides of the pattern are equally charming.
To view more photos, read more about how I put the blocks together or get a link to the tutorial visit my blog

I love it here at the ice cream shop. In fact, this is gonna be my happy place. If I ever get molested or raped, this is the place I'm gonna think of to make everything all right Stewie Griffin

Sometimes stuff just looks like it should be hung on a wall.
This is gorgeous, both sides!
