As soon as I finish my Clapotis, I'm going to start Ultra Femme.  Anyone want to join me?

This pattern can also be found at http://www.diynetwork.com/diy/shows_dkng/episode/0,2046,DIY_18180_36331,00.html

Why can't puffins eat pancakes instead?

I've considered making this. But I don't know about the sheer part. Most of my bras are in gaudy or bright colors and they might look a bit odd. What kind of yarn are you planning on using?

I love the shape and look of this, but I'm worried about the sheer part, too

I love the shape of this but am also concerned about the sheer part. I think it would have been better in the book if they had put it with a nude bra instead of black.  I'd love to see some completed versions.  I've Googled to see if I could find any but haven't.

But of course you can substitute the yarn for something less sheer. Can't you use the All Seasons Cotton (or other) for the whole sweater instead of using mohair on top? If you love a design shape, don't let the yarn choice deter you! Go for it!!

I actually am using the called-for yarns GGH mohair and Rowan All Seasons cotton-- I *really* like the look. On DIY's site, they show it with a nude bra and it looks nice as well.

Well, I've started-- and frogged.  I'm having MAJORLY hard time with the picot edging. I'm wondering if I could just do a picot cast on and call it a day?

Ugg. I hate frogging! Good luck and keep us up-to-date on your progress. I'm anxious to hear how it turns out for you. I looked again at the DIY link and watched the episode (I have it taped!)--with the bra that model has on, it's not so obviously sheer as it is in SnB. I may have to rethink this one...
