Hey fellow craftsters!

I've become somewhat obsessed with felted bags.  However, I've never made one!  I was wondering if anyone would want to join me in kniting the Lopi Tote?  Heres the link:  http://www.helloyarn.com/lopitote.htm

I was planning on doing it in black lambs pride wool and then embroidering something on the outside (maybe something sparkly like sequins!)

Did you go ahead and try the purse? It's really cute! I just did a Booga bag. I think I like felting!

Yeah, i started...and finished and then--and this will just let you know how green i am when it comes to knitting--i screwed up.  Apparently, stitch markers go on the NEEDLE and not the stitch!  Silly me!  So i f-ed up the bottom, frogged it and am starting over.

Live and learn...live and learn!

I'm always down for working on felted bags.  I actually just last night decided to do a modified version of the Hello Yarn bag (the one with the skull is the one of which you speak, right?).  there are a dozen-or-so good bands coming to my town in the next few weeks, so I just picked up something feltable to play around with as my 'concert knitting'.

I think the best thing about felted projects is that they are 100% perfect for show/club knitting - generally there is no complex shaping or counting, and, most important, it can get as smokey as it wants as it's going to get a very good washing when it's done!
